Technology & Material Options

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a functional 3D printing technology that can produce durable parts for both prototyping and end-use applications. SLS is ideal for complicated geometries, tough end-use parts, affordable prototyping, and low to mid sized production runs. Parts printed using SLS have a fairly consistent surface finish and also a little grainy. Contact us to print your part.

Polyjet is a 3D printing process that can create parts in a variety of materials, including multimaterial parts. It can somewhat accurately create rubber-like prototypes and can print high level of detail parts. Contact us to print your part.

FDM is a 3D printing process using extruded thermoplastic to build up parts layer by layer. Some materials available for FDM are those used in traditional manufacturing processes such as ABS, Polycarbonate, and Ultem, making it ideal for applications where material properties matter. Layer lines can typically be seen and areas requiring support material can have a rougher surface finish. Contact us to print your part.

DMLS is a metal 3D printing process that welds powdered metal together using a laser to create durable parts in complex geometries that are as strong as machined parts. DMLS uses metals used in real-world applications and can create end-use parts that can handle demanding applications. It is one of the more expensive options and is best used for parts that are either too complex or too expensive to manufacture using conventional methods, or where thermoplastics won’t cut it. Surface finish is somewhat grainy and could require secondary operations to create acceptable surfaces. Contact us to print your part.

DMLS is a metal 3D printing technology that uses a laser to weld powdered metal together to create durable parts in complex geometries that are as strong as machined models. With real-world materials like stainless steel 316, titanium, Inconel, and aluminum, engineers can have end-use parts that can handle demanding applications. DMLS is best for parts that are too complex or expensive to machine, or where thermoplastics just won’t perform.
